Chris Cipoletti, the departed ANA executive director whose administration caused a bevy of lawsuits, asked the court adjudicating one of these disputes to postpone a trial slated to begin in early December, making it likely that a day of reckoning will come in 2010 to the claim of a Denver law firm to which Cipoletti is a third party defendant.
The routine request for relief in the form of a motion to El Paso County Colorado district court was made by Cipoletti’s new counsel Mulliken, Weiner, Karsh Berg & Joliet, P.C., of Colorado Springs. They are new to the case and have other trials scheduled in a different part of the same court.
A lawsuit by ANA’s former outside counsel, Graham & Stubbs, seeks unpaid legal fees for its representation in a claim filed on behalf of the ANA and Cipoletti against a former computer consultant to the ANA and several former employees.
