CCAC to view $1 candidates

New design options for the 2007 Presidential $1 will be presented to the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee at its meeting Feb. 28.

New design options for the 2007 Presidential $1 will be presented to the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee at its meeting Feb. 28.

Open to the general public, the meeting will be held at the United States Mint headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The Mint will present new design candidates for the obverse and reverse for the four Presidential $1 coins, which are scheduled to be released in 2007.

One of the roles of the CCAC is to advise the Secretary of the Treasury on themes and designs pertaining to upcoming U.S. coinage that have been approved through legislation.
