California fractional gold highlighted a recent sale conducted by Sonny Henry’s Auction Service of Mendota, Ill.
A bid of $4,000 bought an 1872 round Indian gold dollar that catalogs as BG-1206. Numismatic Guaranty Corp. called it an MS-63 prooflike.
An 18th century rarity, a 1799 Bust dollar graded by ANACS as AU-50 Details Cleaned brought $3,900.
A 1795 half dime that ANACS called VF-20 brought $1,600.
