More than 300 lots of rare U.S. and foreign coins will be included in a coin auction to be held by Smythe on Nov. 16.
The auction will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the company’s offices located on the 12th floor of 2 Rector Street in New York City.
Auction lot viewing will be available on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 14-15, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Smythe’s offices. Lot pick up will be available the day of the sale, as soon as an item is purchased.
Highlights include an 1856-O half dime, graded MS-66 by Numismatic Guaranty Corp., and an 1877 nickel, graded Proof-64 by Professional Coin Grading Service.
The major offering in the sale is a 99-lot collection of California fractional gold, including 25-cent, 50-cent and $1 pieces in PCGS holders – most in Mint State condition, according to Smythe.
