The International Paper Money Show held in Kansas City, Mo., June 7-10 welcomed dealers and collectors from across the country and some international countries.

Among the usual educational forums, top-tier exhibits and award presentations was the Bank Note Reporter Most Inspirational Exhibit Award. Bank Note Reporter is a sister publication of Numismatic News, part of the F+W Media, Inc., family.

Kindly serving as the award presenter during the show for Bank Note Reporter was Clifford Mishler, past American Numismatic Association president.

Robert Calderman of Gainesville, Ga., was awarded the “Most Inspirational” exhibit award plaque and was delighted to receive the recognition, according to Mishler.

The exhibit was a single-case presentation featuring about eight notes and concise details.

“I thought it was truly ‘inspirational,’ and Mark Anderson (past Society of Paper Money Collectors president) agreed with me, from the standpoint of being easy to read and understand for the viewer, even if a relative novice,” states Mishler.

“To me, it illustrated that a collector can carve out a unique objective and realize achievement.”

The title of the exhibit was reported as “1934C Silver Certificates Back Plate #637 Mule Set!”

There were around 18 exhibits during the show, which were of quite good quality and relatively diverse variety.
