Three special bullion sets will be released by the U.S. Mint in 2006, instead of the two initially announced.
According to the Mint, two of the sets could include coins with what?s called a Reverse Brilliant Uncirculated finish. More information on that will be available at a later date.
The sets will include a three-piece American Eagle one-ounce silver dollar set; a three-piece Eagle one-ounce gold coin set; and a two-coin uncirculated set, with a gold and a silver 2006 Eagle one-ounce coin.
The three-piece sets will include one proof-finish coin, one uncirculated and a third coin with a finish that has yet to be determined. It could be the newly announced finish.
Currently, the Reverse Brilliant Uncirculated finish is in development. Mint officials say it is similar to a ?Reverse Proof,? which shows the main design features mirrored against a frosted background.
