For comparison, a total of 337,000 coins were sold with a 2006 date. The first 2007 coins add up to 13.5 percent of that number. That doesn?t seem to be a particularly powerful start.
Final numbers for the 2006 Eagle bullion coins have not been released. We?re hopeful about next week.

Sales numbers increased strongly this week for both the 2007 five-coin clad and silver proof sets.
