National Coin Week was observed by 70 attendees at a special meeting held at the Brockton, Mass., public library, reports Richard Hand Jr.
It was a joint meeting between Brockton collectors and the Boston club.
The program included a reading of a City of Brockton proclamation by Mayor Linda M. Balzotti.
National Coin Week was held April 18-24.
Hand says it was the fifth time Brockton marked the national event, which was first declared by the American Numismatic Association in 1924.
The program included a history of the Hull Mint that struck the 1652 New England coinage. Other topics included Roman coinage, Medieval coins and British coins.
