Bridge medal to go on sale

The Lane County, Ore., Public Works Department will release the 11th medal in a series of 17 covered bridge commemorative medals on Nov. 20 in continuation of celebrating Lane County’s heritage of covered bridges.

The Lane County, Ore., Public Works Department will release the 11th medal in a series of 17 covered bridge commemorative medals on Nov. 20 in continuation of celebrating Lane County’s heritage of covered bridges. A total of 325 Deadwood Covered Bridge medals have been produced. The first 25 are numbered.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 20, 150 non-numbered medals will be available at the Annual Holiday Bazaar in the West Lane Shopping Center in Veneta, Ore. They cost $35 each and are limited to five per person. An auction of the numbered medals will take place at noon that day.

Beginning Nov. 22, the remaining non-numbered medals will be available for purchase online at http://ecomm.lanecounty.org. Credit card orders can be called in to (541) 682-6913, or (800) 826-8978. Shipping costs $4 per medal.
