Ann Bobrofsky was given a 2017 Numismatic Ambassador Award a month early at the 60th anniversary dinner of the Michigan State Numismatic Society.
A family obligation will keep her away from the Ambassador Breakfast Jan. 6, 2017, at the Florida United Numismatists convention in Fort Lauderdale.
With the permission of Ambassador Award Chairman Tony Swicer, a “Good For” certificate was presented by “Numismatic News” Editor Dave Harper Nov. 25 in Warren, Mich.
Bobrofsky has been a coin collector for 38 years and has been an active volunteer in the state organization. She has been president and vice president.
She has been on the convention committee for 38 years. She was secretary for eight years. She served as financial chairperson for both the 1984 and 1994 American Numismatic Assoociation conventions in Detroit.
She has coordinated pages for 21 years.
Her husband, Al, also is a Numismatic Ambassador. He received the honor in 1996.
