The 1920-S $20 is graded MS-63 by Numismatic Guaranty Corp.
B&M sale catalogers wrote of the 1920-S, ?The majority of survivors are circulated to one degree or another, and Jeff Ambio (2008) accounts for just 65-75 coins in all Mint State grades.?
The auction, to be held at the Baltimore Convention Center as the official auction of the Baltimore Coin and Currency Convention, will hold more than 2,500 coin lots and more than 500 U.S. paper money lots.
An 1801 Capped Bust $10 gold piece graded MS-64 by Professional Coin Grading Service hails from the Raleigh-Durham collection.
Another gold highlight is an 1876-CC gold $5 in NHC MS-61. Catalogers wrote that ?Doug Winter and Jim Halperin (2001) account for just 80-90 survivors at all levels of preservation.?
An 1854 Type 2 gold dollar in NGC MS-68 was described as tied for finest known with one other 1854 Type 2 gold dollar certified MS-68 by NGC.
The sale also offers an 1860 $3 gold piece in NGC Proof-65 Cameo.
Morgan dollars feature a proof 1896 graded NGC Proof-68* Ultra Cameo. Catalogers cited an NGC census of four seen in that grade and just one finer. Another Morgan in the sale is an 1892-S in PCGS MS-62.
Licoln cents include a 1913 in PCGS MS-67 RD, a 1918-D in PCGS MS-66 RD and a doubled-die obverse 1969-S (Fivaz-Stanton 028) in PCGS AU-58.
Nickels are highlighted by an 1867 Shield nickel with rays in PCGS Proof-65, a 1926-S Buffalo nickel in NGC MS-65 and a 1937-D three-legged Buffalo (FS-020.2) in NGC MS-66.
