Gail Baker has been named manager of market and brand development by the American Numismatic Association.

“In this new role, Gail will be responsible for Web site content and development, and for promotion of the many program offerings that the ANA has,” said ANA Executive Director Christopher Cipo-letti. Lane Brunner, Barbara Olson and Jane Colvard will take over Baker’s duties in the educational department.

“While I’m sad to leave the comfort of my former position, I’m excited by the challenges that lie ahead,” Baker said.

Hired in 1999 to oversee the ANA Education Department and the annual Summer Seminar, Baker doubled the size of the Summer Seminar during her seven-year tenure in that position.

The event has gone from one to two week-long sessions. She was also instrumental in developing and implementing the “Coins in the Classroom” program for teachers and brought “YN Treasure Trivia” to the families that attend the ANA conventions.
