A large crowd was on hand for the opening ceremonies on Jan. 6 of the 56th Annual Florida United Numismatists Coin Show, Jan. 6-9, at the Tampa Convention Center.
Prior to cutting the ribbon allowing the public to enter the bourse, FUN President Bob Hurst presented FUN Presidential Awards for support of the organization to Robert Brueggeman, who has been involved with FUN for more than 30 years providing security; Tony Swicer, FUN vice president and incoming FUN president; and Tony Bonaro, who handles Young Numismatist programs for FUN.
American Numismatic Association Vice President Tom Hallenbeck, acting on behalf of ANA President Clifford Mishler, presented FUN members Jim and Carrie Best with the ANA’s Presidential Award.
