ANA calls for Coin Week themes
The American Numismatic Association is calling on its members to provide the theme for its 86th annual National Coin Week, set for April 19-25.
The celebration will focus on the 200th birthday of Abraham Lincoln, so theme submissions should be centered around the former president. All submissions will be posted online and member input will be considered when choosing the winner, which will be announced in early January.
The top three winners will receive Lincoln-related coins and paper money.
Submission deadline is Dec. 17. Submit your theme idea and a brief description of why it should be chosen. Include your name, address, phone number, e-mail address and member number.
Theme ideas may be mailed to American Numismatic Association, National Coin Week Coordinator, 818 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903. They may also be faxed to (719) 634-4085 or e-mailed to ncw@money.org.
