The recent controversy surrounding possible changes in the bylaws of the American Numismatic Association may last a little longer.

The recent controversy surrounding possible changes in the bylaws of the American Numismatic Association may last a little longer.

President William H. Horton Jr. said that any proposed bylaws changes would not be voted on at the March board of governors meetings in Charlotte, N.C., but would instead be handled during the August board meetings during the organization?s World?s Fair of Money in Milwaukee, Wis.

An official announcement had not been crafted by the time this issue of Numismatic News went to press.

Some members are fearful that the purpose of the bylaws changes is to disenfranchise the membership. The ANA leadership denies this.
The longer time period may provide the opportunity for both sides to hash out their differences.
