Twelve individuals were seeking nine positions on the American Numismatic Association’s board of governors as of March 13.

While it is still possible for those who have not accepted their nominations to drop out by the March 31 decision deadline, it is not likely any would choose to do so.

Two candidates are running for president. Vice President Gary Adkins and former board member Mike Ellis are squaring off in the election that will be conducted by mail ballot in June.

Don Kagin is the sole candidate for vice president.

Looking to fill seven board seats are nine candidates. Four of them are seeking re-election. They are Col. Steven Ellsworth (ret.), Greg Lyon, Paul Montgomery and Ralph W. Ross.

Also running are Adam J. Crum, Mitch Ernst, Brian Hendelson, John W. Highfill and Thomas J. Uram.
