ANA ballots mailed June 2

Ballots for the 2011 American Numismatic Association Board of Governors election were mailed June 2, according to Larry Shepherd, executive director. Ballot envelopes have the words, “Official election ballot” printed in the lower left corner and include the election auditing firm’s return address: BiggsKofford, P.C., 630 Southpointe Court, Suite 200, Colorado Springs, CO 80906. A barcode is in the lower right corner.

All ballots must be mailed in time to be received by the auditing firm no later than July 15. Election results will be announced July 27 with the new board of governors sworn in at the ANA World’s Fair of Money convention banquet in Chicago Aug. 19.

Seven candidates are running uncontested for two-year terms. Board Vice President Tom Hallenbeck is running unopposed for president. Arthur M. Fitts III and Gov. Walter A. Ostromecki Jr. are running for vice president.

Candidates for governor are Gary Adkins, Mike Ellis, Jeff C. Garrett, Greg Lyon, Clifford Mishler, Scott T. Rottinghaus and Wendell A. Wolka.
