In 1946, the first edition of R.S. Yeoman?s Guide Book of United States Coins hit the market.
Now, 60 years later, many coin collectors call it ?the Bible of the hobby.?
Released in April at the American Numismatic Association Money Show in Atlanta, the 60th anniversary edition of the Red Book has expanded to include more than 700 full-color photographs, updated mintages and coin values, new auction records, additional pattern pieces, more extensive coverage of Civil War tokens and information on the latest commemoratives, sets and other coins.
The Red Book, published by Whitman Publishing, can be purchased at coin shops, hobby shops, or wherever books are sold. The 60th edition is available for $14.95 (spiralbound) or $16.95 (hardcover).
