Production numbers of the other denominations are far, far behind.
Dimes rank second with 495 million pieces, barely beating the quarter total of 493.714 million.
Nickels stood at 364.56 million March 31.
Half dollars struck just for collectors, but having a typical circulation finish, stand at 10.2 million.
Golden Native American dollars with Jim Thorpe on the reverse are at a total of 3.5 million pieces.
