In 1958, President Dwight D. Eisenhower established the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). In 1961, NASA bought the land that would become the site of the Kennedy Space Center. Now, the U.S. Mint is releasing the Florida Innovation Dollar, the design honoring the Kennedy Space Center with the image of a space shuttle lifting off from Launch Complex 39. This next coin in the American Innovation series became available for purchase in rolls and bags on May 15, 2025.
