As the U.S. Mint continues to celebrate the Semiquincentennial with new coin designs, the latest will be the Enduring Liberty Semiquincentennial half dollar. Starting on May 26, the half dollar will be available in 200-coin bags and two-roll sets.
The obverse features a close-up view of the Statue of Liberty, her gaze looking out towards the future.
The reverse shows Liberty passing her torch to a new generation, the flame trailing with the momentum of purpose. The inscription “KNOWLEDGE IS THE ONLY GUARDIAN OF TRUE LIBERTY” is seen along the top.
