All members of the American Israel Numismatic Association and the general public are invited to attend the annual joint meeting of the AINA and the Israel Coins and Medals Corporation at 1-3 p.m. Aug. 18. Michael Mochizuki of Hawaii is heading an elongated coin fund-raiser named “The Aloha Project” to benefit the Hawaii chapter of the American Red Cross for Japanese tsunami relief. The elongated design, rolled on copper cents, features the word “aloha” with the “o” colored red to represent the Japanese flag. Continue reading
