ToniRahn Antoinette (Toni) Rahn is the editorial director for Krause Publications’ numismatic periodicals and the content manager for Antique Trader.

She cultivates content for Bank Note Reporter and Coins Magazine and oversees the general operations involving the numismatic periodicals. Drawing on her experience as a journalist and marketing/ecommerce specialist, she enjoys identifying and discussing opportunities with officials, businesses, and individuals to enhance and expand the hobby. Her personal collecting interests include the Morgan dollar and Walking Liberty half dollar, as well as petroliana, vintage advertising items, and Irish antiquities — which is inspired by her late Irish grandmother.

She has been with Krause Publications for 14 years and lives in Wisconsin with her husband, Tom. She is an active member of the StorycatchersLive storytelling organization as well as an avid fan of literature and music.

DaveHarper David C. Harper began writing numismatic articles 45 years ago. His first published, bylined piece appeared in the June 1971 issue of Coins magazine. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh in 1977 with a bachelor of the sciences degree with a double major in Journalism and Economics.

He joined the numismatic editorial staff of Krause Publications in 1978, and he has served as editor of the weekly Numismatic News for the past 22 years. Of the five numismatic periodical titles published by the firm, Dave has served as editor of four of them more than once. He has twice been editor of Bank Note Reporter, Numismatic News and World Coin News and had three tours of duty as the editor of Coins magazine. He is currently listed as executive editor of World Coin News and contributing editor of Bank Note Reporter. He also edits two annual books, North American Coins and Prices and U.S. Coin Digest.

A coin collector since the age of 8, Dave writes a weekly column in Numismatic News called “Class of ’63.” The title refers to the year he began collecting coins. He has written a five-day-a-week blog about numismatics called “Buzz” since April 2007.

Dave is currently the president of the Iola and Rural Fire and Ambulance Corp., secretary of the Lake Iola Lake District and chairman of the board of the Iola recycling center. He served as president of the Village of Iola 1999-2006, and served on the village board as a village trustee 1989-1995. In past years, he has been president of the Iola-Scandinavia Jaycees, the Iola Lions Club and the Village of Iola Library Board.

During the Iola Old Car Show, held every year on the weekend after the Fourth of July, you will find him cooking hamburgers at the main food building.

Kim.Frankenhoff Kim Frankenhoff is the content editor for Krause Publications’ numismatic periodicals.

Her primary responsibilities include updating websites and social media platforms, formatting digital products, and creating email newsletters. She also handles data entry for show calendar listings that appear in print and online.

Thomas Michael is the numismatic market analyst at Krause Publications.

He communicates with, and coordinates the efforts of, 800 contributors to create the price listings that appear not just in the Standard Catalog of World Coins, but nearly every world coin price guide and listing used by Krause Publications. Tom also writes for World Coin News. He has been with Krause Publications for 30 years. Prior to his current position, Tom worked as an auditor, banker and book distributor. He graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor of the arts degree in History, and a master of the arts degree in Economics.

Tom has three boys, although they probably qualify as “young men” now. He is an active supporter of both the Red Cross and the Special Olympics. Tom also has diverse collecting interests, including Archie Comics, Photoplay Editions, late 19th century humor, bookseller and bookstore tokens and ephemera and both handmade and machine made marbles.

TracySchmidt Tracy Schmidt is a numismatic editor and database specialist for F+W’s Numismatics area.

She maintains the entry of new issues and pricing data for the coin and currency databases and is the lead editor for all paper money catalogs. In addition, she communicates with experts, mint and engraving officials, and hobbyists from around the world to put together accurate and detailed pricing reference guides any collector will enjoy.

AprilKrueger April Krueger is an advertising consultant at Krause Publications.

A 20-year KP veteran, April works with numismatic customers on their marketing efforts through magazines like Numismatic News, World Coin News and Bank Note Reporter, email newsletters and NumisMaster.com, as well as KP’s other marketing vehicles. April has held a variety of positions during her KP tenure. After working in the customer service department, she supervised magazine retail sales, overseeing distribution of magazines to retail outlets worldwide. She has been an event sales manager for shows such as the Atlantique City antiques show, and most recently worked in advertising sales for KP’s guns and knives group.

April is an avid Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers fan. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors on her family farm and spending time with family and friends.

PattiRoberts Patti Roberts an ad sales assistant at Krause Publications.

She sorts and monitors information coming in from advertisers to ensure that it is both up to date and accurate. Patti also helps with formatting advertisements, and ensures that they are reproduced faithfully in print or online.Patti has been with Krause Publications for 34 years.

Prior to her current position, she worked in Krause Publications the mail reception and subscriptions department. She has also been a packaging worker at a cheese factory, owned a day care, worked as teller at a bank and was secretary for a U.S. Army recruiter.

In her free time, Patti enjoys taking walks with her dog, reading mysteries, action novels, comedies and historical fiction novels. She also loves attending old car shows with her husband during the summer.

Patti and her husband have three sons, a daughter, two grandsons, two granddaughters, two step-grandsons and a dog.
