Bullion buying not affected by change

Bullion buyers were made a little skittish by a recent Internet article that was widely misinterpreted. Pending implementation of new rules written under the ‘‘Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act” of 2010 has caused some concern among sellers of gold, silver, platinum, palladium and other precious metals that are regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and offer deferred delivery to purchasers. More 5-oz. coins to hit market

The third 2011 America the Beautiful 5-ounce silver bullion coin has hit the market, along with two more uncirculated collector coins. Authorized Purchasers began ordering the Olympic National Park bullion coin on May 23. In little more than two days, 78,700 of the initial 126,700 mintage were purchased by the APs. “Some APs took all of their allocation and some only took a portion,” reported U.S. Mint Public Affairs Director Tom Jurkowsky on May 25.
