The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has introduced an updated 50 manat note into the country’s circulation. The note appears the same as the prior issue, with the new addition being a signature from the bank's chairman, Taleh Kazimov.
Comoros
Security is at the heart of the Central Bank of the Comoros’ new 5,000 and 10,000 Comorian franc bank notes. New counterfeiting-preventing measures, an updated issue year of 2025, and the signature of Governor Dr. Younoussa Imani have been added to the same design currently seen on circulating issues.
Morocco
The Bank Al-Maghrib has paired a new 250-dirham commemorative coin with a 100-dirham bank note to celebrate the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which was hosted by Morocco from late December through mid-January. Among the designs on the issues, both show a portrait of King Mohammed VI on the obverse and the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on the reverse.
Oman
For the first time in Omani currency, a polymer bank note has entered circulation. The new issue, a 1 rial commemorative note, features the Oman Botanic Garden and the Sayyid Tarik bin Taimour Cultural Complex on the obverse, and the Duqm Port and Duqm Refinery on the reverse. The Central Bank of Oman has also incorporated a transparent window, optically variable ink, and iridescent ink as new security features.
