A special NGC cover was created by Red Book to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the third-party grading firm.

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Numismatic Guaranty Corporation has teamed up with Whitman to create a special anniversary edition of the Red Book.

There were 2017 of these printed. Of these, 1,917 will be given away to qualifying users of the grading service.

For NGC Collector members and NGC Authorized Dealers with shipping addresses in the United States, books will be given to those making five or more non-bulk grading tier submissions to NGC before May 31.

There is a limit of one book per qualifying individual.

In the event more than 1,917 persons qualify, NGC will offer $20 discounts on grading fees.

The Red Book is now in its 71st edition.

This special edition combines two numismatic icons: NGC, the world’s largest third-party coin grading service with more than 37 million coins graded, and the Official Red Book, the world’s most popular coin collecting guide with more than 24 million copies sold.

Founded in 1987, NGC celebrates its 30th anniversary of providing expert and impartial grading services. The Official Red Book, which has been published since 1946.
