The 23rd Annual Golden State Coin Show, sponsored by the Numismatic Association of Southern California, is set for Aug. 25-26 at the Arcadia, Calif., Masonic Center located at 50 W. Duarte Road.

Bourse Chairman Kay Lenker has 55 tables available for dealers of U.S., foreign and ancient coins and paper money. Organizers expect the tables to sell quickly due to the popularity of the show and the rise in gold and silver bullion prices.

Everything you need for collecting U.S. coins is on this CD!

For table information and an application, contact Lenker by email at capnkay@earthlink.net, by mail at P.O. Box 6909, San Diego, CA 92166, or by phone at (619) 222-8739.

NASC will conduct a Boy Scout Coin Collecting Merit Badge Workshop from noon to 3 p.m. at the show. Scout pre-registration is required. For more information, or to register, email Walt Ostromecki at drwaltomfl1@earthlink.net. Albertus Hoogeveen will be assisting Ostromecki with the workshop.

A“Coins for Kids” table with contests and awards will be open to young attendees on both show days.

The club expects at least 25 cases of competitive exhibits in a variety of categories to be on display on the bourse.

Twenty-four gold and silver coins will be given out during the Member Club Benefit Drawing on Sunday.

“[The drawing is] one way to help the member clubs raise funds for their clubs and also attract people to the show,” said Jerry Yahalom, NASC president.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. There will be free parking and on-site food service.

Admission is $4 for adults. There is no admission charge for new NASC members and YNs under 16.
