Medal commemorates club’s 40 years

A colorized medal has been issued by the Kent Coin Club of Dover, Del., in honor of its 40th anniversary. The club commissioned firm Coins for Anything to design and strike the piece.

The obverse depicts the outline of the state of Delaware and its three counties with a star depicting the site of the Kent Coin Club. In the background, a blue field highlights the club’s year of establishment.

The reverse features a stylized “40th Anniversary” and dates “1971-2011.” It was designed exclusively for the club.

The satin finish, 1.75 mm, antique brass medals are for sale for $15 each.
