Luke Syson speaks at ANS on Medals and Paintings

I had a very nice time last evening attending the ANS reception, lecture and dinner at the Varick street location of the American Numismatic Society.

Luke Syson's lecture was the introduction of the Mark M. Salton Memorial Lecture Series. His widdow, Mrs. L. Salton was in attendance in addition to about 60 others. I and about 20 others took part in the subscription dinner afterwards.

At the event it was good to see several FIDEM members in attendance, Luke has been a frequent presenter at the FIDEM medal congresses.

I also got to spend time meeting with LICC president Emmett McDonald, and finished up some research projects in the Library.
