For those who think there’s too little fresh material on the market, the CPMX auction, by Lyn Knight Auctions, should put that notion to rest. Featuring a Colonial collection more than 70 years in the making and a type collection dating back to the 1970s, there are plenty of notes available that haven’t been on market for some time.
The auction is slated for March 5-7 at the Crowne Plaza O’Hare, 5440 North River Road, Rosemont, Ill., with world notes selling on Thursday, March 5, at 5 p.m.; Colonials, U.S. small-size, errors, Confederate, Fractionals, Military Payment Certificates and obsoletes on Friday, March 6, at 6 p.m.; and large-size type and nationals on Saturday, March 7, at 5 p.m.
Lot viewing during the show at the Crown Plaza is slated for Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
