CSNS adds hotel rooms for spring show

Additional space has been added to the hotel room block for the April 22-27, 2013, 74th Anniversary Convention of the Central States Numismatic Society.

Additional space has been added to the hotel room block for the April 22-27, 2013, 74th Anniversary Convention of the Central States Numismatic Society.

“Response to our second consecutive convention at the Schaumburg Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center has been terrific. Our original sleeping room block at the hotel has sold out twice and I’ve been fortunate to be able to add more rooms to accommodate our attendees,” said Convention General Chairman Kevin Foley.

“We are also now down to our last 10 booths, so I can’t emphasize strongly enough how important it is for people to make the arrangements now,” he said.

The convention features two Heritage Signature Sales and a bourse area with dealers occupying more than 260 booths.

“This is definitely the strongest advance demand that we’ve had since I’ve been general chairman, either for hotel rooms or bourse area booths,” Foley said.”

Reservations can be made at the special CSNS convention rate of $147 by calling the hotel at (847) 303-4100 and mentioning rate code “CENCENA.”

Viewing for the two Heritage Signature Sales starts on Tuesday, April 23, with the first auction session on Wednesday, April 24 and the final one on Friday, April 26.

The Professional Preview Day will be on Wednesday, with the regular public hours Thursday through Saturday, April 25-27. Admission during the Thursday-Saturday pubic hours is complimentary.

In addition to a roughly 200 case educational exhibit area, the CSNS convention will feature a nine session Civil War Educational Forum on Saturday. CSNS Secretary Jerry Lebo serves as Bourse Chairman. Dealers interested in one of the few remaining booths should contact him via e-mail at jclebo@frontier.com, or by phone at (574) 753-2489.
