Alex Perakis Coins & Currency recently celebrated our 30th year as a full-time dealer. We specialize in the buying and selling of both U.S. paper money and coins. Based in Media, Pennsylvania, a close suburb of Philadelphia, our company is operated by Stephen Perakis and Terry Coyle. Alex, who founded the business in the late seventies, now resides in Tucson, Arizona.
We are the recipients of Krause Publication’s Customer Service Award for over ten straight years and members in good standing of the Professional Currency Dealers Association (PCDA), Society Paper Money Collectors (SPMC), American Numismatic Association (ANA), Florida United Numismatists (FUN) and Central States Numismatics Society (CSNS). In addition to these national organizations, we are also active members in our local clubs, including Chester County Currency Club and the Delaware County Coin Club.
