This will be the last 2021 report on Mint product sales. Continuing on last week’s theme, available coins are still making a slow end-of-year wind-down.

2021 National Law Enforcement Museum commemorative coins and the 2021 Christa McAuliffe silver dollar coins are showing steady up-ticks in total sales.

We are also seeing totals for all of the Morgan and Peace silver dollars come up, closer to the mintage limits that were reached almost immediately after sales opened. Morgan dollars with the “CC” and “O” privy marks went from close to 165,000 each to more than 173,000 each this week. The Morgan with no privy or mintmark increased by about 3,000, while the “S” and “D” mintmarked versions increased from around 168,000 each to around the 174,000 mark The Peace dollar came up by more than 4,000. We expect the reported numbers to continue their fluctuation into the early part of 2022.

There was no change in gold, silver and platinum American Eagle bullion coins this week. However, for the first time this year, the palladium bullion American Eagle is on the charts. It sold a total of 8,700 month-to-date in December.

As the calendar flips to 2022, we will hit the ground running with the Negro Leagues Baseball commemorative coins, which become available Jan. 6.
