Mint Stats: Final 2013 5-ounce silver bullion on sale
The Mount Rushmore 5-ounce America the Beautiful silver bullion coin has gone on sale and the first number shows 6,000 were taken by the Mint’s Authorized Purchasers.
There are five designs in 2013 of which the first, the White Mountain National Forest, is sold out at 35,000. Perry’s Victory, Great Basin and Fort McHenry sales continue although the Fort McHenry is just 800 away from selling out the 30,000 that were made. There are 3,800 Perry and 2,800 Great Basin left. Maximum mintage for these is 30,000. Mount Rushmore has a maximum mintage of 35,000.
Sales of silver American Eagle bullion coins are just 193,500 below the 39,868,500 record high set in 2011. It is possible that this number will be exceeded even before this issue goes to the printer. Most assuredly next week’s total on these pages will have passed the old record.
This week’s reported sales of uncirculated 5-Star General uncirculated gold $5 coins dropped by 44 to 4,568.
