John F. Kennedy is now on another denomination: the dollar coin. The United States Mint began accepting orders for the John F. Kennedy Presidential dollar on June 18. Collector response has been swift as they purchased 21,374 Philadelphia and 5,286 Denver 25-coin rolls, 675 Philadelphia and 524 Denver 100-coin bags and 1,717 Philadelphia and 1,254 Denver 250-coin boxes by June 21. The low total for the Denver 25-coin rolls is a bit strange.
Investors are excited by the release of the Blue Ridge Parkway America the Beautiful 5-ounce silver bullion coin which began sales sometime after June 17 and is temporarily sold out at 35,000 coins purchased as of June 22.
The Mint released the 2015 Annual Uncirculated Dollar coin set on June 16. Collectors have since ordered 11,592 sets by June 21.
