Clad proof set numbers rose for the week by 39,348, which is almost double the weekly silver proof set number of 22,244 and triple the uncirculated coin set figure of 14,210.

With a weekly increase of 3,000 pieces to 10,000 in September and a total of 209,000 for the year, sales of Buffalo bullion coins cease for the year.

The proof version of the one-ounce Buffalo saw its running total rise by 1,755 to 33,651.

Another 17,500 one-ounce American Eagles were sold, bringing the monthly total to 58,000, which is up from the August number of 39,000, but well below the 147,500 of July. Silver Eagle sales advanced by 175,000.
