Basketball Coin Sales Begin
With sales of the Basketball Hall of Fame coins and products beginning June 4, new entries have been added at the top of this page’s chart.
The first of the Mint’s 2020 commemorative releases, the coins honor the 60th anniversary of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Surcharges from sales of the coins benefit operations and education programs at the Hall of Fame.
The program consists of three coins: a gold $5 coin, a silver dollar, and a clad half dollar, all available in proof and uncirculated versions. The coins are curve-shaped to bring the design to life.
In addition to the single coin offerings is an enhanced uncirculated clad half dollar Kids Set. The S-mintmark half dollar coin comes packaged in a YN-friendly folder.
Another addition to look for on the table is the 2020 Kennedy half dollar products, where the 2018 listings were removed to make way. The 2020 two-roll set posted a total of 14,412, and the 200-coin bag garnered 3,245.
This week, the 2020 clad proof set totaled 272,013, up 6,916 from last week. The 2020 silver proof set came in at 206,880.
