2019 Platinum Bullion Coins Sold Out
All 40,000 of the platinum American Eagle bullion coins for 2019 have been sold to authorized dealers and the Mint currently has no plans to strike any additional. The coins went on sale back on January 7 and sold within the first four months.

For those interested in the silver American Eagle bullion coins, after suspending sales on February 21, the Mint resumed sales on April 1. Another allocation was on April 29, bringing the total 2019 sales to 8,121,000--nearly 2 million more than the same four-month period in 2018. Here is the breakdown for 2019 through April:
January: 4,017500
February: 2,057,500
March: 850,000
April: 1,196,000
Gold bullion American Eagles, which are offered in tenth-ounce, quarter-ounce, half-ounce, and one-ounce pieces are stronger in 2019 than in 2018, with a total of 100,000 ounces in 2019 compared to 72,000 ounces in 2018. The American Buffalo one-ounce gold coins have sold 41,500 in 2019, compared with 29,500 this time in 2018.
