Lots from the Nevada Collection will highlight Superior Galleries Nov. 16-17 Elite Auction. This is the official auction of the Santa Clara Coin, Stamp and Collectibles Expo.
Among the highlights is an 1873-CC Liberty Head $20 gold piece. The coin is graded by ANACS as an AU-55.
Another gold $20, an 1892-CC is graded MS-62 by ANACS.
Yet another Carson City Mint product, an 1870-CC half dollar, is graded XF-40 by the Professional Coin Grading Service.
These coins are part of what Larry Abbott, Superior executive vice president and COO, called a connoisseur?s collection. It is valued at over $1 million.
Rarities not from Nevada will also be in the spotlight at the auction. A 1799 Draped Bust dollar, graded by Numismatic Guaranty Corp. as AU-55, will go on the block.
A couple of 1918/7-S quarters, one an ANACS XF-45 and the other a PCGS AU-53, will go under the auctioneer?s hammer.
Other highlight lots include an 1806 Bust half dollar, ANACS XF-40, a 1797 Bust dollar, B.1. ANACS AU-55 and an 1813 Capped Bust half dollar, NGC MS-66.
