The Professional Numismatists Guild has selected the Long Beach Coin, Stamp & Collectibles Expo as the site to launch a series of ?Share the Knowledge? consumer education programs.
The debut program, ?Collecting U.S. Gold Coins,? will be presented by authors Jeff C. Garrett and Douglas A. Winter at noon Feb. 14.

The expo runs Feb. 14-16 at the Long Beach, Calif., Convention & Entertainment Center, located at 100 S. Pine Ave.
Other seminars and events at the show include ?The History of Coin Grading,? presented by Ron Guth, PCGS president, 2 p.m. Feb. 14; ?Buying & Selling on eBay? by Troy Thoreson, eBay University educational specialist, noon Feb. 15; and a children?s treasure hunt Feb. 16.
The Long Beach Stamp Club will give away collectible stamps to young people, and a free gold coin door prize will be awarded each day to a show attendee.

Heritage Auction Galleries will conduct a sale of U.S. and world coins and bank notes.
More than 1,000 dealers will be buying and selling coins, paper money and other collectibles. Some dealers will provide free, informal appraisals for the public.
A general admission fee of $6 is good for all three days. Coin or stamp club members with a valid membership card pay $4. Seniors age 65 and older pay $3. Children ages 7 and younger are admitted for free.
