Do you prefer participating in online auctions or in-person auctions and why?

I prefer live auctions. I enjoy the presence of fellow collectors and the opportunity to view the coins in person.

I like both. I like in-person auctions and coin shows where I can examine the offerings before bidding. I find that most general auctions that have coins are a good place to overbid on underwhelming coins.

Online auctions from reputable firms like Stack’s, Heritage, Kagin’s, CGN, etc. are excellent places to buy as well, keeping in mind the buyer’s premiums.

I avoid eBay auctions unless I know the seller.

I prefer online auctions. They are easier to work with and have more variety of products.

Online. I use eBay and VCoins auctions, mainly because I get pretty good deals. I have been using auctions since 2000 and have rarely had any problems.
