The 2017 Fairbanks Coin Club membership token honors the Sesquicentennial of the Purchase of Alaska from Russia.

Its obverse features the simple legend “Fairbanks Coin Club” with the member’s number counterstamped in the center.

The reverse has the legend “Alaska Sesquicentennial” and the dates 1867-2017 with a bear above, representing Russia, and an eagle below, representing the U.S.

Tokens measure 19mm in diameter and contain at least 1/10 oz. of pure silver.

These tokens are provided to the club and its members at no charge.

Non-members may purchase one by sending $5, plus a self-addressed stamped envelope, to Alaska Rare Coins, P.O. Box 72832, Fairbanks, Alaska, 99707.
