June 2026
Azerbaijan
The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has announced a redesign of its 100 manat bank note. It will enter circulation on July 15 and includes updated security technologies, such as color-shifting holograms, a watermark of the State Emblem of Azerbaijan, and a “Spark Flow Prime” changing manat symbol.
England
Following a public survey, the Bank of England has decided that UK wildlife will be the focus of its new bank note series. The theme is a change from an over-50-year tradition that featured the country’s historical figures. According to the Bank of England, it is an “opportunity to celebrate another important aspect of the UK.”
July 2026
Belarus
A new 200-ruble bank note has been released for the National Bank of Belarus’s 2026 series. Entering circulation on June 1 and printed by Goznak in Russia, the new additions to the note include upgraded security features, the signature of the Chairman of the National Bank Board, Raman Halouchanka, and an inset image of the architectural landmark, the Mahiliou Regional Art Museum. This is the sixth upgraded note of the country’s redesign of the 2019–2022 series.
Guatemala
In 1926, Guatemala introduced its national currency, the quetzal, exactly 20 years before the creation of the Banco de Guatemala. The bank is celebrating these anniversaries with a commemorative 100 quetzales bank note. Released on May 18, the note also highlights the 350th anniversary of the Universidad San Carlos de Borromeo.
United States
As America celebrates the semiquincentennial anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, PMG has created a label to commemorate this historic moment. The new product, sold exclusively by the company, features the official America250 logo of the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission on the upper-right side.
