MintStatistics: Spike in Sales for 2026
Sales of Semiquincentennial products are gaining momentum as new U.S. Mint releases spark renewed collector interest.
While the bullion market seemed to grind to a near halt in the past month, save for the impressive spike in 2026 gold Buffaloes, the focus has shifted to 2026 coins that celebrate the Semiquincentennial. Many collectors have been predicting an increase in interest for coins with the release of all the new circulating pieces, and this month’s Mint Statistics are starting to reflect it.
Added to the report this month are the California Innovation dollar, the 2026 uncirculated gold Eagle, the FIFA World Cup commemoratives, the Enduring Liberty half dollar, the first in the Best of the Mint program, the 2026 silver proof set, and the Warren G. Harding presidential silver medal.
At the time this report was being compiled, the FIFA coins had just been released for pre-order, so the sales numbers are quite low. Comparatively, the Enduring Liberty half-dollar two-roll set and 200-coin bag are doing very well.
Outside of the newly added coins, the 2026 Congratulations Set is also doing very well, having jumped almost 20,000 sales in the last month.
As the country continues to celebrate, we’ll hopefully continue to see an increase in interest for collecting the Semiquincentennial coins.
