MintStatistics: Quiet Month for Sales
U.S. Mint sales slowed this month, with little movement across most products and few standout gains.
The month of July was a quiet one in terms of numismatic sales. The July releases from the Mint have been added to the report, culminating in the Morgan and Peace Reverse Proof coins, the Liberty Bell gold coins and silver medal, and the Minnesota American Innovation dollar.
There were no major spikes in sales for any of the coins already added to this report. For August sales, we’re looking forward to adding the 2026 Freedom 250 Race medal, the enhanced uncirculated Morgan and Peace dollars, the U.S. Constitution quarters, and the Best of the Mint 1804 Silver Dollar Gold Coin and Silver Medal set.
Looking even further ahead, the Semiquincentennial President Donald J. Trump 1-dollar coin will be something to look out for. The coin has sparked controversy in the community and the general public alike. Placing a living, sitting president on a legal tender coin has been a hot topic since the Mint announced its plans for production of the coin. Keep an eye on future Mint Statistics reports to see how well the coin is received as a collectible item.
Unless otherwise stated, all boxed figures are compiled as of August 17, 2026. Numbers provided by the U.S. Mint. Totals are cumulative from the beginning of sales unless marked otherwise.
