MintStatistics: Bullion Market Slows
Strong sales of Semiquincentennial coins contrast with a modest slowdown in bullion purchases as gold and silver prices remain elevated.
There haven’t been many changes in this month’s report. The Semiquincentennial coins continue to do well, and by next month, there will most likely be more to add.
Recently, in a weekly poll question, collectors were asked if they had found any of the Semiquincentennial coins in their change yet. Not many have, but hopefully, as the year goes on and more of the new coins are released, they will be easier to find.
Bullion also seems to have slowed down, if only by a little bit. The higher prices of gold and silver make it a little harder
to obtain bullion coins, but as the prices of these metals stabilize, we’ll see if the market follows.
