Liberty Coin Service Offers to Pay $100 Each for the First Five People Who Bring in A 2026 “July 4th” Privy-Mark Declaration of Independence Quarter!
Collectors and the public alike have a chance to cash in as Liberty Coin Service offers $100 for the first five 2026 “July 4th” privy-mark quarters brought through its doors.
Liberty Coin Service (LCS) in Lansing, Michigan, is offering to pay $100 to the first five members of the public who bring in and sell to LCS the special 2026 “July 4th” Privy-Mark Declaration of Independence Quarters. The United States Mint has randomly inserted 250,000 of these specially marked coins into bags and rolls being placed into circulation through banks and financial institutions.
Said LCS CEO and owner Tom Coulson, “Instead of the normal P (Philadelphia) or D (Denver) mintmark on the side showing Declaration of Independence primary author Thomas Jefferson, these limited edition coins bear ‘July 4th.’ To help celebrate the national public treasure hunt as part of America’s 250th Anniversary of Independence, Liberty Coin Service will reward the first five people (excluding other coin dealers) $100.00 each who bring in and sell us one of these coins. With this coin, the US Mint is offering Americans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to discover a piece of history in everyday transactions.”
The Declaration of Independence Quarter is the third of five special commemorative quarters being put into circulation in 2026 in honor of America’s Semiquincentennial 250th Anniversary. The previous two issues honored the Mayflower Compact and the Revolutionary War. Later this year, quarters celebrating the US Constitution and the Gettysburg Address will also enter circulation. In addition, the US Mint is placing into circulation a dual-dated 1776-2026 nickel, a dime recognizing Emerging Liberty, and a half dollar proclaiming Enduring Liberty. All of these coins bear the dual 1776-2026 date.
The US Mint was established in 1792 within the Treasury Department as the nation’s manufacturer of legal-tender coinage. It produces circulating coins to be used in trade and commerce, numismatic and commemorative coins and medals, and gold, silver, platinum, and palladium bullion coins.
Frequently honored Liberty Coin Service, established in 1971, is Michigan’s largest rare coin and precious metals dealership. Liberty Coins, as it is known locally, has been located in Lansing’s Frandor Shopping Center since 1975.
