On May 19, His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales, known to the world as Harry, and Ms. Meghan Markle were married in St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. To mark the occasion, Great Britain’s Royal Mint has issued a £5 coin.

The reverse design by Jody Clark is based on one of a series of photographs taken at Kensington Palace following the announcement of the couple’s engagement. The image is notable in showing a bearded Prince Henry, the first member of the British royal family to appear so on a coin since his great-great-grandfather, George V.

The new coin is available in BU cupronickel and as silver and gold proofs.

On the obverse is Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
