Medals, quarters mark club

The Red River Valley Coin Club of Fargo, N.D., and Moorhead, Minn., held its 50th annual coin show Jan. 30-31 in Fargo. Commemorative pieces were issued for the event, and surplus inventory is now for sale to the public.

The club medal reads, “50th Anniversary 2010” on the obverse. The reverse displays the club name and years of existence, 1960-2010, around the perimeter. A 1-ounce silver version is available for $30. Copper, bronze and nickel versions cost $20 each. All four versions can be purchased for $45.

Also available are encased Minnesota and North Dakota quarters. On the encasement is “Red River Valley Coin Club,” “50th Annual Show,” “January 30-31, 2010” and “Fargo, ND – Moorhead, MN.” The design also features outlines of the two states. Prices are $3 for one or $5 for two.
