Proof Sets Continue to Climb

The biggest sales increases this week are all from the 2019 proof coin sets column.  The 10-coin clad proof set gained 3,190 and is now at a total of 390,398.  The 10-coin silver proof set increased by 1,948, ending the week at 290,459.  Both are still pacing ahead of the 2018 sets this time last year.

Even the uncirculated set is forging forward quickly.  This week, it jumped by 1,916 to a total of 245,480 and is closing in on surpassing the 2018 set which sits at 252,388.

There’s been some movement in bullion, but nothing earth-shattering.  Gold increased by 3,000 since our last update, while the silver surpassed the million mark, ending at 1,007,000.   There were also changes to report for the America the Beautiful 5-Ounce bullion coins. The 2019 American Memorial Park increased by 2,000, reaching the 80,000 mark and the 2019 War in the Pacific grew by 4,500, closing the week at 69,500.

New this week are the Apollo 11 50th Anniversary 2019 Proof $5 and Print set and the Apollo 11 50th Anniversary 2019 Proof $1 and Print set.  Not huge numbers, at 681 and 2570, respectively, but moving more coins, nonetheless.
